Charlotte Beck gets herself in many humorous situations, many of which are not becoming of a lady from that time period. Scandalous, to say the least, Charlotte's family never know what to expect from her and her outrageous behavior. Dare they turn and look the other way, or do they face the social consequences head on?
Alex Hambly is a quiet Astronomer, minding his own business, the first time his life collides with Charlotte's. Little does he know how much his life will be turned upside down from that moment on. Really, all he would like to do is study the stars and comets, is that too much to ask? Apparently so, if it is left up to Charlotte's father, Daniel.
Daniel loves his daughter to no end. Yes, she can get herself in to many predicaments, but eventually she will calm down and become the lady he knows she is. From the moment he meets Alex, he knows there is something special about the young man. Never, besides himself, has he ever seen anyone that can handle Charlotte so well. Maybe this is just the person Charlotte needs to tame her wild ways and keep her feet planted on the ground!
Although this book is not part of a series, the author does have 2 other novels that contain some of the same characters from this story. That said, this would be a great first novel for you to read by Kathleen Y'Barbo! I give this book 5 stars!
