Winter Blahs

Have you ever been sick and tired of being sick and tired?  Do you sometimes feel like you're running on empty and just can't go one step further?  Feel like you're in a spin cycle that has a never-ending repeat button?  You do?  Whew...I'm glad it's not just me.

Our household has been hit off and on over the past few months with the multitude of illnesses that are making their rounds right now.  Sinus infection?  Yup, we got it.  Mild case of the flu?  Yup, that's us too.  Same symptoms as strep but no positive test result?  Yes...that settled on us also.  Rather than bore you with the others, suffice it to say our house has not be spared in the sick department.  Thankfully, we have not had it as bad as some others around us.  But, let's be honest...when you are knee deep in tissues and buckets, it seems like you'll never climb your way out.

I'm here to tell you, there is HOPE on the horizon!  I've seen the sunshine today and know it still exists.  With the promise of warmer temperatures this weekend, I have HOPE that we can air out the house and maybe send those sick kiddos outside to air out as well.  And until that time when we are no longer cooped up inside, faces smashed against the windows longing to go out, this tired mama will be found reading hot new Christian Fiction releases, dreaming of a day where she can lounge quietly on a beach without a care in the world.

So on this (still) frigid, sunshiny day, I leave you with this...dream on, Sweet Mama, dream big and dream often.  One day this too shall pass and we'll be left wondering when we blinked and it was over.
